About Beachside Dog Training
Beachside Dog Training helps dog owners in Huntington Beach and across Orange County build calmer, more confident, and better-behaved dogs through practical, results-driven training. We offer private training, board and train, group classes, in-home training, online coaching, and puppy pre-school, so families can choose the program that fits their dog, goals, and lifestyle. Our work ranges from obedience and manners to more serious behavior challenges like leash reactivity, fear, anxiety, aggression, separation anxiety, over-arousal, and socialization issues. The business emphasizes hands-on owner coaching, clear step-by-step plans, and training that works in real life—not just in a session. Beachside Dog Training also highlights certified trainers and serves Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Westminster, Irvine, Seal Beach, and the greater Orange County area.

I can’t say enough good things about Alison and the work she did with my dog, Benny. She had him for just one week, and the change has been incredible. I truly believed Benny was reactive and that there was no coming back from it. Since bringing him home, I’ve already been in several situations that would have caused me to panic before—and he handled them so well. Alison didn’t just train my dog, she trained me. She provided hands-on guidance and clear, detailed notes that actually make sense for my dog and our lifestyle. I know we still have work to do, but the foundation she gave us is life-changing. I’m beyond grateful and would highly recommend Alison to anyone feeling overwhelmed with their dog.
I have a wonderfully sweet, yet full of energy and enthusiasm, 18 month old golden retriever. Toast came back from a weeklong board & train with Alison, and wow, is she on a transformation journey! Her walk is 100% better! Where she used to pull like a maniac, she is mindful and well behaved. She’s learned to sit when greeting people (mostly! lol). We are still is working on self self-control, but she is worlds better! I’m so happy. Alison took time to train me after the conclusion of the week so that I could practice and work on building her skills and until her next week session.
Taking Astro, my ever-excitable pup, to Splash Premiere Pet Resort was really a game changer. He just finished the 7-day board and train program, and the difference is night and day! No more leash pulling - it's a breath of fresh air. I swear, when I say "let's go" or "leave it" during our walks, he actually listens now. Who would have thought that would happen? I have to give special props to Allison, our fabulous trainer. She didn't just work wonders with Astro, she was also excellent at communicating how we could keep up the good work at home. You should have seen how well she explained things, really top notch. Having Astro behave so well now has put a newfound sense of peace in our home, not to mention it’s really upped my dog-handling skills. Can’t say thank you enough to the team at Splash Premiere and Beachside dog training. They know their stuff!
Beachside Training took such good care of our dog Arlo and really personalized the training session to his needs. We are so happy with the work he did with them and cannot wait for his next training sessions. Alison really understands dogs and their individual needs. We could not recommend more!!!!
We were traveling and found Splash to board our boxer. Then we discovered they also offer board and training, so we signed him up, and I’m so glad we did. He is now much more willing to pay attention, sits calmly for longer, and waits at the door until we allow him to cross. I was honestly surprised by how much he learned in just one week. Of course, consistency is key, so we’re also learning how to keep up with the training and support his progress. Allison, the trainer, was absolutely amazing. She sent us videos and pictures throughout the week, and it was clear how much she truly cared for him. He received such great care at this place. Thank you, Splash, for making our travel plans so much easier. It’s such a relief knowing there’s a place where he’s loved and well cared for.
