What is the House My Pet Community Board?
The House My Pet Community Board is a free space where pet owners, pet businesses, and the broader community can connect for various purposes related to pet care and animal welfare. It allows pet owners to:
- Post and apply for pet care jobs (e.g., pet sitting, dog walking, grooming).
- Hire extra staff for pet businesses.
- List and inquire about pet adoption and fostering opportunities.
- Engage in discussions about adoption and fostering.
It’s a trusted space for building relationships and ensuring a safe and compassionate environment for pets.
Who can use the Community Board?
Pet Owners – Post pet care jobs if they can't find a suitable service in our directory. You can also post pets in need of adoption or fostering.
Pet Businesses (registered & approved) – Apply for jobs posted by pet owners, post job vacancies for extra staff, and engage in adoption or fostering discussions.
Both Pet Businesses & Pet Owners – Collaborate on adoption and fostering opportunities.
Note: Businesses selling pet products cannot register on the Community Board but may advertise through our donation-based advertising system.
How do I post a Job or Adoption/ Fostering Listing?
- Login to your HouseMyPet.com account.
- Navigate to the Community Board page.
- Click Create a Post and enter your details.
- Submit your post.
How do I know if someone is interested in my post?
A notification within your House My Pet account.
An email alert for any enquiries.
To view and respond, log in to your account and check your messages.
Can I see the contact details of someone interested in my post?
For privacy and security reasons, contact details are not shared directly in emails. You must log in to HouseMyPet.com to view and communicate with interested users.
How do I apply for a job or adoption listing
- Browse the Community Board for a job, staff vacancy, or pet adoption listing.
- Click 'Send Message or Apply' and submit your details.
- The poster will be notified and can respond through the platform.
Can I edit or remove my post?
Yes! Log in to your account and go to "My Posts" to:
- Edit details if anything changes.
- Remove a post when it’s no longer needed.
What happens after my job request is completed?
Once a job is successfully completed, go to the My Jobs section and mark it as completed to keep your listings and the Community Board up to date.
Is there a fee to use the Community Board?
Posting jobs and adoption/ fostering listings is free
Businesses advertising pet products must use our donation-based advertising system.

How do I leave a Google review for a pet business on House My Pet?
Leaving a Google review for a pet business on House My Pet is easy! Here’s how:
1. Sign into your House My Pet account
- Go to the Directory Page.
- Type the business name in the "Look Up Member" search bar to find the pet business you’d like to review.
2. Go to the Business Profile
- Once you’ve found the business, click on its profile.
3. Scroll to the Bottom
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of the business’s profile page.
4. Click "Add Review"
- If the business is registered on Google, you’ll see an "Add Google Review" button at the bottom of the profile. Click on it to leave your Google review and rate their service.
5. Submit Your Review
- Write your review, select your rating, and hit submit. Your feedback helps other pet owners find trusted services!
For Pet Businesses
How do I get my business listed on House My Pet?
1.Register
Sign up as a pet business and create your business profile.
2. Verification Process: To become a trusted member of our community, your business undergoes a thorough verification process. This includes checks for credibility, which may involve reviewing your social handles, website, customer reviews, and requesting additional information such as insurance, licenses, or other relevant credentials. We also verify the identity of the business owner.
3. List: Once approved, your business will be listed with a verified badge, showcasing your commitment to quality and trustworthiness within our community.
What information should I include in my profile?
Include detailed information about the services you provide, your experience, and what makes your care unique. Adding high-quality photos and any relevant qualifications can help build trust with potential clients. Customer reviews are also a great way to show the quality of care you offer.

How do I add Google reviews to my profile on House My Pet?
To add your Google reviews to your House My Pet profile, follow these steps:
1. Find Your Google Place ID
Your Google Place ID is required to sync your Google reviews. Here’s how to find it:
- Log into your House My Pet account.
- Go to "My Account", then "My Business".
- Scroll down to the Google Reviews section.
- Use the Google Place ID Finder tool (it looks like a Google Map).
- In the map's search bar, type your business name and location (city/region).
- If your business is listed on Google, your Place ID will appear. Copy this ID.
2. Add Your Place ID
- Paste your Place ID into the input box above the Place Finder tool.
- Click the 'Add Reviews' button
If your business name on Google matches your House My Pet business name, your reviews will sync up immediately.
Note: If your business names don’t match, update your business name in the "Business Details" section.
